Resveratrol- the fountain of youth in your glass of wine

A couple of facts:

The Resveratrol is an antioxidant polyphenol that can be found in over 70 species of plants. This compound is excreted in emergencies in order to protect the plant from Bacteria and fungi, insects, ultraviolet radiation, and more. This ingredient is well known for its qualities and many contributions to the human body.

A great amount of the resveratrol can be found in the grape peel, as well as in the leaves and, in some sorts, in the seeds. Thanks to the unique Manufacturing process of the red wine, the resveratrol proceeds to the wine in the highest concentration. The ingredient itself was discovered in 1939 by a Japanese scientist, Michio Takaoka, who proved the claim that the red wine has a good impact on the human body and extends its life span.

A group of scientists from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Ariel University in Samaria recently discovered, that the grape species that grows on the holy land, contains almost the double amount of Resveratrol than any other grape specie that grows anywhere else in the world.
